WebJul 5, 2010 · The only difference is, you can't pop the hood forward over the Raynox clip. You can pop the hood forward over a Raynox in a threaded adapter, but it doesn't provide any shade. Sometimes I use a 49mm rubber hood on the front of the Raynox. Personally I like the Raynox clip-on adapter for any lens that will take it (i.e. 52-67mm filter diameter). WebJan 14, 2016 · Also, the Raynox clip-on mount only attaches to lenses down to 52mm filter thread, not 49mm. The Pentax No 1 is single-element and was designed for and works well on the 50mm f1.4 Takumar. I took many hundreds of B&W shots of fossils with this combo.
