WebI came in as an E-4 so I’ll go off that. According to the current pay chart, an E-4 with 2 years or less gets $2,393 base pay. At 6 years, they get $2,905 base pay. Just a tad over $500 extra per month without any promotions or yearly Congress pay raises. Compensation sucks at first for sure but once you get TIS, that really helps.
